Privacy Policy

This policy explains how CipherX Security Solutions (“CipherX”, “we”, “us”) handles personal information collected through cpxs.ca and when you contact us about our cybersecurity, managed IT, website, app, AI and creative services in Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area.

We handle personal information in line with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Ontario law that applies to us.

We collect only what we need to respond to you and run the site:

• Information you give us: name, company, email, phone number, business location, the service you are interested in and the details you write in our forms (consultation request, contact, offer and membership forms).
• Messages you send through WhatsApp: when you use the consultation form we open WhatsApp with your details pre-filled. Nothing is sent until you press Send, and the message is then handled by WhatsApp under its own terms.
• Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed and the page you came from, collected in server logs and, if you allow it, analytics events.
• Cookie preferences: a small cookie that remembers your consent choice.

Please do not send passwords, payment card numbers or health information through our forms.

• Reply to enquiries, prepare consultations, quotes and proposals.
• Deliver, support and invoice the services you engage us for.
• Protect the site against spam, abuse and security threats (including rate limiting).
• Understand how the site is used and improve it — analytics only with your consent.
• Meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We rely on your consent, which may be implied when you contact us about a service, to use your information for that purpose. We send promotional emails or texts only where permitted under Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), and every message includes a way to unsubscribe. You can withdraw consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual limits, by contacting us.

We do not sell personal information. We share it only with:

• Service providers that host the site, store form submissions and send email on our behalf, bound to protect the information and use it only for our purposes.
• WhatsApp and Instagram, when you choose to use the contact or share buttons.
• Professional advisers, and authorities where required by law.
• A successor, if the business is sold or reorganized, under equivalent protections.

We use essential cookies and, only if you opt in, analytics. You can change your choice at any time using “Cookie settings” in the footer. Details are in our Cookie Policy.

We keep enquiry information while we are working with you and for a reasonable period afterward (generally up to 24 months for unsuccessful enquiries; longer where records must be kept for tax or legal reasons), then delete or anonymize it.

We use safeguards suited to the sensitivity of the data, including encrypted connections, access controls and form spam protection. No online service is perfectly secure, so please contact us straight away if you suspect a problem.

Some of our providers store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be accessible to courts and authorities under local law.

You may ask to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or withdraw consent. We will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.

Our services are for businesses and are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their information.

We will post updates on this page and change the effective date above. Material changes will be highlighted on the site.
